For many of us the weekends are when we look forward to watching our favorite sports teams, whether it’s a live game or on television. But the coronavirus has brought an unprecedented halt to spectator sports around the globe. We spoke with Bill Rhoden, former New York Times sports columnist and now a visiting professor at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, about the impact of losing this aspect of our lives.
