Local Arizona dance company performs a socially distanced dance

More from this show

A local dance company in Arizona is responding to the pandemic by creating social distancing themed dance videos. We spoke to EPIK Dance Company Co-Founder, Sarah Kent on how they are inspiring people to find new ways to connect during this time.

The dance company founded in 2007 by Sarah Kent and Luis Egurrola, has brought together some of the best dancers in the valley.

In the socially distanced dance, performers can be seen in places that would be normally full. But due to the pandemic, many have been kept away from the places shown.

The purpose of the video was to show people they can stay connected even during these times. Kent hopes the dance will give people hope.

You can check out more of the group’s work here.
