ASU professor advances brain disorder studies

More from this show

Today is World Brain Day, and the World Health Organization reports that one in three people are affected by neurological conditions. This high prevalence makes neurological issues the leading cause of illness and disability worldwide. A professor at ASU advances her research, focusing on using stem cell-based model systems to unlock new insights into the complexities of neurological disorders.

Madeline Andrews, an Assistant Professor at ASU’s Biomedical Engineering, Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss how she is creating powerful tools to explore brain development, function, and disease.
