“The Librarians” documents how library collection standards and library censorship are shaping communities in the U.S.

Librarians find themselves on the frontlines of debates as they navigate the review of library materials that includes books with LGBTQIA+ and race-related themes.

Beginning with book reviews in Texas, the film follows librarians, parents and students navigating debates over representation, education and library censorship.
