RigaTony’s: Part of the family

More from this show

RigaTony’s welcomes guests from all over to enjoy an atmosphere that makes you feel like you’re right at home.

Owner Mike Lopercio said RigaTony’s is inspired by restaurants he loved when visiting Little Italy districts in Boston and New York. From the dressings to the meatballs, everything on the menu is made from scratch.

The most popular dish on the menu, Lopercio said, is the baked rigatoni, adding it is a specialty dish, unlike traditional baked rigatoni guests may have tried in the past.

To accompany every entree, guests can enjoy their famous antipasto salad. Lopercio said it was important to him and his family to have the salad included with the main dish and not an extra cost to guests.

Lopercio said they always strive to make the restaurant the best it can be, which helped keep RigaTony’s successful 31 years after its opening.

Lopercio said he wants guests to feel at home right when they walk through the door.

“Everybody’s from someplace else here, and it reminds them of their favorite Italian restaurant back home,” Lopercio said. “We want to make that connection.”

Guest Joe Gregory said RigaTony’s has been his favorite spot for 20 years. For an appetizer, he enjoys the Pizza Checca, which is tomatoes and feta cheese topped on a thin crust.

Gregory ordered the Tour of RigaTony for an entree so he could try a piece of the different dishes they offer. The plate included chicken parmesan, baked lasagna, Italian sausage and fettuccine Alfredo.

With a variety of seating options and decorations from all over the world, RigaTony’s is the perfect family place. Gregory said its his go-to spot to celebrate any occasion, whether it be birthdays or graduations.

Gregory’s pro tip: Take advantage of the weekend specials.
