‘Focusing the Universe’ highlights astronomy in Arizona

Univerity of Arizona produced a documentary detailing Arizona’s relationship with astronomy, particularly the work that has been done at Steward Observatory.

“Focusing the Universe” first aired Oct. 1 as part of AZ Illustrated’s “100 Years in Space,” along with four other documentaries detailing everything from early lunar exploration to exploring the polar regions of Mars.

Steward Observatory astronomer Tom Fleming and U of A film and television professor Michael Mulchahy joined Arizona Horizon to discuss space exploration in the Southwest.
