Looking to the upcoming 2025 Phoenix Global Forum

More from this show

The Phoenix Global Forum 2025 will feature in-depth discussions on a broad spectrum of transformative topics, including generative AI, quantum computing, critical minerals, energy transition, and advancements in biotechnology, among others.

The second edition of the Forum aims to position Phoenix as a rapidly growing global hub for innovation while fostering an inclusive dialogue on how global partnerships and cutting-edge technologies drive a sustainable society.

Rita Marko, President & CEO of Phoenix Sister Cities joined us to discuss.

The event is a 2-day conference starting on April 8, 2025. On the first day, they will focus on the issues of reindustrialization, such as the supply chain, critical minerals and critical chemicals. Marko said they invited Alfonso Durazo, Governor of Sonora, as a keynote speaker to address issues on the topic.

The conference will also look at the future of AI and the impact it could have on jobs. Another topic they will look at is quantum computing.

“We try and make it tangible so quantum sensing, how can you use quantum processes to understand geology and is there gas in that mine and should we be worried about people working in that mine?” Marko said.

This is the Forum’s second year because Marko said it went so well. People were surprised by what Phoenix had to offer and one of the Forum’s partners, the International Economic Forum of the Americas, said it was the best first edition they had seen, according to Marko.
