In counties with more than 250,000 people in Arizona, superior court judges are chosen through a merit-based selection process. They are up for retention, or re-election, every four years and will appear on the 2018 ballot. We hear more about how the system to retain judges works from Judicial Performance Review Commission member Roberta Voss.
