The Latest on Election Polls

Jeremy Duda: “We’ve seen a few over the last few days that more or less show what we’ve suspected for a long time is that the top two races in the ballot, the senate and governor, are very tight. For the most part the polls we’re seeing show relatively small leads in the senate race for Democrat Mark Kelly, although today we did see an Emerson College poll, which I think is the first poll we’ve seen that had a lead for Republican Blake Masters– just a half a percentage point. But we’ve seen this race tightening up over the last few weeks.”

Camryn Sanchez: “I’ll be honest, I’ve had enough of the polls. I don’t event think I’ve read all the latest polls. I just can’t handle being drowned with the polls anymore. But tight races, and certainly Kelly has got this little last minute endorsement from Obama, but the Lake and Masters thing has been I would say fairly successful. Lake and Blake have been campaigning together, so there’s a lot of attention on that race and sort of bringing each other up with that alliance. And I know a lot of money is in that race. So I think just through constant exposure and a lot of media time, he’s in the public eye, and I think that’s had a role in tightening.”
