Arizonans Gather for National COVID Memorial Day

More from this show

National COVID Memorial Day took place on Monday, March 6, 2023. State dignitaries and Arizonans and those impacted by COVID-19 will gather for a powerful and emotional afternoon to reflect on the dramatic and tragic events that unfolded in 2020 during the pandemic.

Among those in attendance were members of Marked by COVID, a group dedicated to raising awareness and educating people about the virus.

Tara Swanigan lost her father in August 2020 to COVID. Tara joined Marked By COVID shortly after her father lost his battle to the virus. Her father, Charles Krebbs, was extremely careful during the pandemic and frequently expressed his worry to her that others would get sick. Charles was a family man, he loved gardening, jazz music, reading and cooking.
