Phoenix will host the first-ever Phoenix Global Forum on May 2, 2024, at the Biltmore Resort. Being sponsored by Phoenix Sister Cities and the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA), the event will unite leaders from across the globe for the annual conference.

The IEFA was created in 1994 to encourage connection, collaboration, and innovation to address some of the world’s most significant challenges.

The mission is to “elevate Phoenix’s position on the world stage,” said Rita Marko, President and CEO of Phoenix Sister Cities. At an economic development stage when it comes to bioscience, technology, water and energy, sustainability, and aerospace. The forum will consist of experts regarding each development topic which allows connections within Arizona and worldwide.

One company mentioned was Bespoke Manufacturing based in Phoenix, whose aim is to produce high-end clothing on demand to promote fast fashion.

The forum will encourage forms of improvement for economic development as well.

“To bring together CEO’s, thought leaders, government leaders, to explore those possibilities,” Marko said.
