Governor Hobbs expected to repeal abortion ban

On May 2, 2024, the Arizona Senate voted to undo a near-total ban on abortion that dates back to 1864 but was revived by the state Supreme Court after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Governor Katie Hobbs is expected to immediately sign the repeal bill.
