New polls say Trump leads President Biden in five key states including Arizona

More from this show

A new set of polls show former President Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in five key states including Arizona. The polls show an erosion of support for the President among young, Black and Hispanic voters. Many voters are reportedly voicing discontent about the economy and the war in Gaza.

On “Arizona Horizon,” we welcomed Chuck Coughlin, President and CEO of HighGround, Inc.

The results came from polls taken by the “New York Times,” “The Philadelphia Inquirer” and Siena College from April 28 to May 9, 2024. The polls showed Trump was ahead among registered voters in a head-to-head matchup against President Biden in five of six key states: Michigan, Arizona, Nevada, Georgia and Pennsylvania. President Biden led among registered voters in only one battleground state, Wisconsin.
