What Arizona businesses expect from the upcoming legislative session

More from this show

Leaders in the business community joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss what they hope will come out of the Arizona Legislature this session.

Danny Seiden, President and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Todd Sanders, President and CEO of the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, highlighted the critical role of a stable and transparent political system in fostering innovation, business growth and economic stability. With global challenges such as foreign interference and the ongoing battle against disinformation, they stressed the need for a strong, resilient democracy that supports economic progress.

They emphasized the importance of the integrity of elections and the democratic processes, stating it directly links to business success. They added past experiences, such as the impact of Arizona’s SB1070 bill, show how harmful political decisions can disrupt the economy.

As the nation faces threats to democratic institutions, Seiden and Sanders said the business community plays a pivotal role in defending and preserving the values that drive growth and prosperity.
