Arizona gas prices rise; fraud education for the elderly; newborns exposed to opioids

More from this show

On this episode of “Arizona Horizon,” Arizona gas prices have surged more than 50 cents since the start of the war in Iran. The Arizona average stands at $4.17 per gallon, making Arizona one of the most expensive states in the country to fill up. We sat down with John Treanor, Spokesperson for AAA Mountain West Group, to learn more.

Next, fraud education for the elderly continues to grow in popularity. Brian Watson, Community Outreach Specialist from R.O.S.E., joined “Arizona Horizon” to talk about educating seniors on how to avoid financial scams.

Finally, Tara Sundem, Co-founder and Executive Director of Hushabye Nursery, explained how newborns exposed to opioids need the special care the nursery provides. The 12-bed facility has treated over 1,150 babies and their families since opening in November 2020.
