Decrease in vaccination rates in AZ schools; New skin cancer treatment; remembering Harry Mitchell

Will Humble, executive director of the Arizona Public Health Association, talks more about the move, which comes despite little scientific evidence supporting such sweeping changes.

We also hear from Dr. Yazan Samhouri, with Banner MD Anderson, about a groundbreaking therapy for melanoma patients. The new finding, a tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy, is the first and only FDA-approved treatment for previously treated, unresectable or metastatic melanoma.

Finally, The Vice Mayor of Tempe, Arlene Chin, reflects on the impact and legacy of Harry Mitchell, a former Tempe mayor and U.S. congressman, who has died at the age of 86. Mitchell served as Tempe’s mayor for 16 years.
