Pete Rios left the Arizona Senate after more than two decades in the Arizona Legislature, where he became one of the most powerful Latinos and a respected Democratic leader. Rios has now moved to the House of Representatives, and his daughter Rebecca Rios took his old seat in the Senate. Both represent Legislative District 23, which covers Pinal County and parts of Maricopa County. Horizonte talks to both of them about their legislative priorities and the challenges they face this session.
