Arizona State University announced that Phoenix New Times founders Jim Larkin and Michael Lacey will use proceeds from a lawsuit settlement against Sheriff Joe Arpaio to establish a new journalism faculty position for border and immigration issues. The $2 million gift will go toward creating an endowed chair at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
