Watch Arizona PBS’ 2025 Emmy®-nominated programs

This year, Arizona PBS received eight Emmy® nominations!

We are truly honored to be recognized by the Rocky Mountain Southwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

As a public broadcaster, Arizona PBS exists as a public square: A space for conversation, education and civil discourse. We connect our audience of over 1 million households to the world around them. Nominations like these affirm that as we serve our communities, we’re also creating programs that are among the best of our industry peers.

None of this great local content would be possible without the support of our viewers. Everything we create, any excellence we achieve, can be traced directly to your generous support of Arizona PBS.

Please enjoy the Emmy®-nominated programs below, and consider supporting Arizona PBS to help make possible the programs that might be next year’s award recipients. Thank you for your support.

In a timely partnership, Arizona PBS and Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA) were proud to present “Voter Ed,” a digital-first series giving viewers a crash course in civics. Aimed at educating voters ahead of the general election, each episode explored a different component of the civics process in Arizona.

Two episodes of “Voter Ed” were nominated for a 2025 Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy®. “What is the Political Makeup of Arizona Voters?” was nominated in the Politics/ Government Content category, and “Why Vote (And How To Do It)?” was nominated in the Instructional category. Christopher Tin’s “The Lost Birds” is a large-scale chorale work the composer describes as “a musical memorial to bird species driven to extinction by humankind.” But it’s not simply about birds. It’s a poignant work employing what the composer calls “soft activism,” serving as a musical warning of humanity’s future. In this episode of “Arizona Encore♪,” we hear from Christopher Tin, a two-time Grammy-winning composer, and others and also hear a performance of this work.

“The Lost Birds” is nominated for a 2025 Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy® in the Audio Recording/ Mixing/ Design — Live or Post-Produced category, and the episode can be streamed online now.
