Arizona’s premiere cultural institution, Xicanindio

More from this show

In 1975, Xicanindio was founded to be the premiere cultural institution in Arizona serving Latino and Indigenous artists. More than 44 years later, Xico still prides itself on nourishing a greater appreciation of the culture and spiritual heritages of the Latinx and Indigenous artists. Xico offers a wide range of programs including DIY printing facilities and galleries featuring artists whose work would not be seen otherwise. We will talk with Donna Valdes who has served twice as Excecutive Director about Xico’s role in the Phoenix art community in providing a much needed voice. Learn more at https://www.xicoinc.org/
