Ted Simons, host and managing editor of “Arizona Horizon,” moderated a debate with six candidates running for the Arizona Corporation Commission.
Rene Lopez (R), Jonathan Hill (D), Rachel Walden (R), Joshua Polacheck (D), Lea Marquez Peterson (R) and Ylenia Aguilar (D) joined Simons to debate important issues.
The Arizona Corporation Commission is a state regulatory body charged with several important responsibilities, including enforcing regulations to ensure railroad and pipeline safety, regulating several public utilities and more.
The Commission is headed by five commissioners. Each commissioner serves a four-year term with the ability to serve a maximum of two consecutive terms.
