Q & A with “Black in Arizona” producers

More from this show

This spring, Arizona PBS premiered a new, digital-first series, “Black in Arizona,” which airs on our YouTube channel and here on our website.

Comprised of six episodes created for our digital audience, “Black in Arizona” aims to explore what it’s like to be Black in our community, as well as spotlight the contributions of some of the most impactful Black Arizonans in the state’s history.

In a Q & A with “Black in Arizona” Senior Producer Ebonye Delaney and Producer Niki Christian, we learn about the birth of the concept behind the show, surprising stories they unearthed during their research and the importance of telling the stories of African Americans in Arizona.

Watch previous episodes and stay tuned for the next three installments of this new series.
