BlakTinx Dance Festival
BlakTinx Dance Festival celebrates 10 years with Curtain Call, a two-night celebration of contemporary dance featuring 20 choreographers and artists from Phoenix and beyond.
Presented by Latina Dance Project, BlakTinx has spent the past decade creating space for Black and Latinx choreographers to bring their stories, cultures, identities and artistic voices to the stage.
Curtain Call features two completely different programs on Friday and Saturday, with contemporary and modern dance, dance theater, salsa, hip hop, flamenco and more. This year’s artists explore everything from ancestry, migration and identity to love, resilience, community and imagination.
Friday, October 2 is also First Friday in Downtown Phoenix, making BlakTinx a great stop for an evening of art, dinner and dance.
