Fez on Central: A burst of flavor and color

More from this show

Nestled in the heart of downtown Phoenix, Fez draws inspiration from its namesake, the ancient capital of Morocco, to create an ambiance that’s both vibrant and eclectic.

This downtown gem is celebrated for its lively atmosphere, where the interior is a vivid tapestry of colors, matched by the eclectic charm of its waitstaff. Fez has quickly become a go-to spot for both locals and visitors alike, famed for its legendary brunch.

Among the most beloved items on the menu are the Fez burger and the innovative cauliflower ‘wings,’ both of which have earned acclaim for their flavors and creativity. The cocktail menu at Fez stands out for its uniqueness and diversity, with skilled bartenders eager to craft personalized creations for patrons seeking something special.

Kirk Lubbs, the manager, highlights the spot’s reputation for serving exceptional cocktails and boasts of the Fez burger as one of the town’s best-known burgers. The brunch at Fez is particularly noteworthy, offering a wide range of options that cater to every taste, making it an ideal choice for a leisurely weekend outing and offering the perfect backdrop for people-watching.

Guests of “Check, Please! Arizona” have shared their delightful experiences at Fez. Roni Nassberg raved about the Fez salad and burger, describing them as “delicious,” and was equally impressed by the pear martini. Ben Cristoph, another guest, praised the brunch offerings, especially the brunch burrito, and singled out the lychee martini as his personal favorite, calling it “just so good.”

Cristoph offers a pro tip for visitors: To experience Fez during Pride Week, hinting at the heightened festive atmosphere and the special joy that permeates the air.
