Miracle Mile Deli: A family-owned deli
April 10
This family-owned and operated deli has been in business for 76 years and offers a taste of New York City in northern Phoenix.
“When you walk into the building, we want you to feel like you’re living in a piece of New York,” Vice President Josh Garcia said. “We throw a party every day here.”
The Garcia family runs and owns Miracle Mile and prioritizes the family traditions that have remained consistent for years, which are showcased in their recipes.
The extensive menu can be overwhelming at first with its many options, such as the hot pastrami sandwiches, which are one of their most popular items.
“Check, Please! Arizona” guest Josh Kelman has been dining at Miracle Mile Deli for years, first going there with his grandparents and now bringing his own children there.
“I cannot remember a time when I did not go to Miracle Mile,” Kelman said. “Everyone finds something that they like.”
Kelman’s favorite thing to get is the New York turkey sandwich that he thinks Miracle Mile has down to an art, with the perfect balance of turkey-to-coleslaw ratio with the signature Miracle Mile sauce.
Guest Dennis Weaver sampled the Reuben Sandwich, saying “it just couldn’t have been better.”
Miracle Mile also offers classic New York sodas that pair perfectly with your meal, as well as a wide offering of desserts.
Kelman recommends trying the traditional deli black and white cookie and New York-style cheesecake he describes as perfect and classic.
“It’s definitely a neighborhood place,” Kelman said. “It’s not overwhelming. It just makes me smile to know it’s still there doing its thing.”
His pro tip? Try out the Miracle Mile special, an affordable deal that comes with half a sandwich and two sides of your choice.
