Hundred Mile Brewing Company: Burgers and Brews
April 21
Nothing pairs quit a nicely as a crisp beer and a delicious burger. At Hundred Mile Brewing Company, guests enjoy only the best.
Focused on community and offering elevated comfort food, Sue Rigler, owner of Hundred Mile Brewing Company, said guests will find a variety of delicious dishes to accompany their drinks.
Rigler said while Hundred Mile Brewing Company was voted the best wings in Tempe, they offer much more. She said guests can find burgers, salads, wraps and other healthy options.
The best drink to pair with a delicious burger, she said, is beer. All of the beer is brewed on site but they do offer guest taps. Rigler said they have a variety of true to beer style beers.
With a history in microbiology, Rigler said she was inspired to open up her own brewery after learning about the science that goes into making beer. Since then, she said she never looked back.
She said she is most proud of the community she built across Tempe and wants guests to feel that Hundred Mile Brewing Company is welcoming and is an extension of their living room.
“These are your guests,” Rigler said. “How you treat them and how they feel is going to bring them back.”
Mayor Corey Woods said he knew Rigler long before the restaurant opened and grew to become a big hit across the region.
Woods started out his visit with his go-to: the Mayor Woods chips. After ordering them every visit, Rigler renamed the chips in honor of the mayor.
For his entree, Woods had the blackened chicken Caesar salad. He said the dressing stood out because the flavors made it clear that is was made in house.
Woods also enjoyed the green chile cheeseburger, which came with crispy paties, pepperjack cheese, green chili strips and a garlic aioli drizzled on the bun.
Right as you walk in, Woods said Hundred Mile Brewing Company makes you feel right at home. He said it has a bright, open environment and has a big patio for guests to enjoy games outside.
Woods’s pro tip: Bring your pets and take advantage of the welcoming environment.
