The Mayors
April 23
On the season 13 finale of “Check, Please! Arizona,” we sit down with the mayors of Phoenix, Chandler and Tempe to find out which Arizona restaurants they select when they dine out.
Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego selected Dahlia Tapas Tequila and Wine. Owner Audrey Corley said she would describe the restaurant as a love story. She said they offer a twist on traditional tapas and offer larger plates for guests to share. The team, Corley said, is ready to take guests on a flavorful journey.
Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke selected Feringhee Modern Indian Food. Kishore Thadikamalla, the general manager, said the food takes guests right to the heart of India. With more than a hundred labels of wine and a wide selection of whiskey, he said guests only enjoy the best.
Finally, we have Tempe Mayor Corey Woods’ pick: Hundred Mile Brewing Company. Sue Rigler, owner of the brewery, said they offer elevated comfort food. Guests might recognize a familiar name on the menu. In honor of Mayor Woods and his love of their chips, Rigler said they named the side dish The Mayor Woods chips.
