Caregivers help those with disabilities amid COVID-19

More from this show

During this time of pandemic, many may not think of the people taking care of those with disabilities. We spoke with Ability360 Program Aide, Angela Pacheco about her experience working as an essential worker during the pandemic.

Ability360 is one of five Centers for Independent Living in Arizona, and the largest Center in the state. Their program is designed to empower people with disabilities to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve or continue independent lifestyles.

During this time of pandemic, caregivers have had to restructure the way they work. According to Pacheco work doesn’t stop to make sure the needs of those with disabilities are taken care of.
