Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes discusses 2024 election

More from this show

Arizona officially certified the results of the 2024 General Election without any disruptions, marking a significant departure from the controversies that plagued the certification process in 2020 and 2022. In previous years, election denialists attempted to halt or delay the process with unfounded claims of widespread voter fraud. This year, however, the certification process went smoothly, reaffirming public confidence in the state’s electoral system.

Adrian Fontes, Arizona Secretary of State, joined “Arizona Horizon” to share insights on the certification process and discuss the changes he observed this year.

Fontes emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency and voter confidence, while noting how the absence of challenges this year reflects growing trust in Arizona’s election procedures.

With Arizona playing a key role in national elections, Fontes underscored his office’s commitment to ensuring secure and fair elections for all voters.
