How SRP rate increase will affect customers, power systems

More from this show

Salt River Project announced a public pricing process that would have customers paying more for their electricity. Jim Pratt, CEO of SRP, joined “Arizona Horizon” to discuss more on this issue and the plans they have for the price hike.

The price change would go toward helping upgrade power systems. If approved by SRP’s Board of Directors, the average customer will see a bill increase of 3.5%, or about $5.64 a month, starting in November 2025.

The actual bill amount will depend on the customer’s electricity usage and plan. SRP is publicly held so the Arizona Corporation Commission has no authority over them.
