Desert Caballeros Western Museum changes name after major donation

The Desert Caballeros Western in Wickenburg received a $20 million donation, and has been renamed the Sigler Western Museum after the family who donated the money.

The museum is nationally recognized for fostering the careers of Western female artists and broke new ground in January with the announcement of a new art museum.

The $30 million facility will span 27,100 square feet, with gallery spaces, an indoor pavilion and an outdoor courtyard. It will complement the museum’s existing 25,600-square-foot main building and 4,674-square-foot Cultural Crossroads Learning Center.

Executive Director Dan Finely joined Arizona Horizon to discuss the upcoming renovations.
