Arizona to elect first Lieutenant Governor; setbacks in space telescope rescue mission

On “Arizona Horizon,” we learned Arizona will be electing its first-ever Lieutenant Governor. The new position will replace the Secretary of State as the next-in-line to the Governor. To discuss the the importance of this role, we welcomed Chuck Coughlin, President of HighGround, Inc., and Stacy Pearson, Co-founder of Lumen Strategies.

We also discussed the mission to save the Swift, a space telescope launched in 2004 which has been slowly falling towards Earth’s atmosphere. Without help, the telescope is at risk of being destroyed. Rolf Jansen, Research Scientist for Extragalactic Astronomy and Cosmology, joined us to discuss the efforts in this rescue mission.
