An advisory panel appointed by Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon has recommended revisions to Phoenix Police Department’s Immigration Enforcement Policy (Operations Order 1.4). All people arrested or suspected of committing a state or local crime in Phoenix will be asked about their immigration status. HORIZONTE discusses proposed policy changes with appointed advisory panelists Paul Charlton and José de Jesus Rivera. Also ,we’ll talk to Phoenix Police Chief Jack Harris about how police will prepare to implement the new policy.
