International Holocaust Remembrance Day

Music is essential in many countries as it is used to create a sense of national identity and culture. However in 1933 Nazi officials made an effort to remove Jewish culture by stripping Jewish musicians of their positions in an effort to make the music in Germany reflect the ideals of the Nazi campaign. Today we honor those who were forced out of their homes and removed from their positions for international Holocaust Remembrance Day.
