Juneteenth: Blind Tom Wiggins

In this episode, in honor of Juneteenth, we learn about the life of classical pianist Blind Tom Wiggins, who is sometimes referred to as the “last American slave.” As aired on KBACH on June 20th.
Historian Daphne Brooks wrote that Tom “created an archive of sound commentary about the world in which he lived and performed and the one which tenaciously held him in bonds.”
