“Working Forward” is a new workforce-focused mini-series that combines five powerful, short documentary films with insightful local panel discussions. Hosted by Kathleen Bade, the series explores the most pressing challenges facing today’s workforce, both across the nation and here in Arizona. From combat veterans transitioning into health care careers, to older workers striving to stay relevant in rapidly changing industries, each episode shines a light on untold stories of resilience, adaptation and opportunity.

Kathleen Bade
Kathleen Bade is a 14-time Emmy® Award-winning journalist and former news anchor with more than 30 years of experience in the San Diego, Phoenix and Los Angeles markets.
A graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, Bade is also a certified broadcast meteorologist and sits on several advisory boards.
Since signing off in 2024, Bade remains active in the media industry through consulting, freelance writing and television production projects. She recently expanded her work into public broadcasting, hosting documentary specials for Arizona PBS.
Beyond her career in journalism, Bade is a long-time advocate for Alzheimer’s awareness and is also committed to environmental causes.
