Arizona Theatre Company appoints first African-American female associate artistic director

More from this show

The Arizona Theatre Company has appointed a new associate artistic director. Chanel Bragg is the first African-American woman to take on the role, and she has a big vision for the future.

In her role, Bragg will look at all things artistically from everything to reading plays to community engagement. Bragg will work with Sean Daniels to help push his artistic vision forward.

For the last ten years, Bragg has worked on creating spaces for all races in theater. She has done this by being apart of “Soul of Broadway,” a group that did presentations on how theaters can be more diverse.

Furthermore, Bragg hopes people will educate themselves and work together to make more diverse communities.
