Local restaurant helps feed frontline workers

More from this show
Barrio Queen restaurant has been delivering meals to healthcare workers in valley hospitals since the pandemic started. We talked to Barrio Queen representatives, Joe Patti and Andrew Patti about their willingness to give back during these times.
The team of workers has been able to deliver meals to Banner Health, HonorHealth, Mayo Clinic, and Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
“People are going in and working 12-hour shifts coming in at 10 a.m. and all of sudden its midnight and they haven’t had a meal at all,” said Patti. “The fact that we can meet some of these great people has been most rewarding for us.”
The restaurant hopes the meals will brighten up healthcare worker’s day just a little bit.
