Education Forward Arizona calls for a system to connect students and employers

More from this show

A new study called for a system to help connect students and employers. Education Forward Arizona found that students and families are often left to navigate disconnected pathways spanning career and technical education, dual enrollment, credentials and postsecondary education. Employers lacked clear, coordinated channels for communicating talent needs and supporting workforce development.

Rich Nickel, the President and CEO of Education Forward Arizona and Ricardo Lopez Valencia, the Senior VP of Education and Workforce Alignment at Education Forward Arizona, both joined “Arizona Horizon” to help better understand what would be beneficial from a system that promotes cross-sector communication among employers and students.
