Author of six fiction novels, Elizabeth Evans, was born, raised and educated in Iowa, where her new novel As Good As Dead takes place.

She received a Master of Fine Arts at Cornell College and the University of Iowa.

She has received many awards and fellowships such as the Iowa Author Award, a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and more.

Evans now teaches as a professor for creative writing at the University of Arizona.
