“American Masters” draws on the rich palette of Poe’s evocative imagery to tell the real story of the notorious author in a new documentary, “Edgar Allan Poe: Buried Alive.”

When he was a child in the small Arizona border town of Nogales, ASU Regents’ Professor Alberto Rios saw a poem written on the wall separating the United States and Mexico. Today, his own poem, “Border Lines,” is inscribed in glass at the Nogales-Mariposa Port of Entry.
