Spinato’s Pizzeria and Family Kitchen: A Rise to greatness

More from this show

Nestled in the heart of Tempe, Arizona, Spinato’s Pizzeria and Family Kitchen is a neighborhood gem that has been delighting pizza lovers for over four decades. Founded in 1974 by the Spinato family, the restaurant has grown from a small pizzeria to a beloved local institution, expanding to multiple locations across the Phoenix area.

What sets Spinato’s apart from other pizzerias is their commitment to using only the freshest and highest-quality ingredients. From their homemade pizza dough to their signature sauces, every item on the menu is crafted with care and attention to detail.

Owner Anthony Spinato says their family kitchen is the secret behind the restaurants’ success. “We make 37 different items for our restaurants so that they come in fresh, prepared, and then we just have to assemble them and make them into the recipes,” he explained.

“Check, Please! Arizona” guest Louie Flores loves dining at Spinato’s. “The combination of flavors is simply delicious,” Flores said. One of the most popular items that Louie orders is the Meaty Pizza, which is topped with pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon.

Guest Christina McCarty enjoys the stuffed mushrooms, which she described as “cheesy, creamy and yummy.” As an entree, she enjoys the Mama Signature calzone with spinach, tomato, mozzarella and garlic.

Guest Violet Ponce-Vowel orders the spaghetti calzone. “It’s kind of like a pizza crust pot pie with spaghetti inside,” she Ponce-Vowel. “I was impressed, I thought it was really good.”

Over the years, Spinato’s has become more than just a restaurant: it’s a part of the community. The Spinato family has always believed in giving back, and in that spirit, they established a charitable foundation that helps veterans, service animals and children.

If you’re looking for a delicious and authentic pizza experience, look no further than Spinato’s Pizzeria and Family Kitchen. With their commitment to quality ingredients, a family-friendly atmosphere and dedication to their community, Spinato’s has truly risen to greatness.
