Beckett’s Table: Craveable comfort food

More from this show

This Phoenix restaurant prides itself on its sophisticated comfort food and creating an environment where anyone and everyone can enjoy themselves.

With a seasonal menu that changes four to five times per year, chef and co-owner Justin Beckett says they prioritize what’s fresh, striving to bring high-end techniques to approachable and familiar food.

The restaurant also features a curated selection of wines and different beverages to enjoy, with in-house sommeliers as co-owners of the restaurant. They place a special emphasis on sourcing local wines alongside ones from around the world.

The ambiance is warm and inviting, with the kitchen integrated into the layout of the dining space.

Beckett’s Table’s signature dish is their short ribs, served with mashed potatoes and veggies and braised in the restaurant’s secret sauce, as well as the grilled cheese sandwich Beckett says smells as good as it tastes.

They love to bring fun twists to classic dishes, such as their pecan pie featuring figs and an adapted low-sugar crust.

“Check, Please! Arizona” guest Margaret Kelly had the beef bourguignon shepherd’s pie and emphasized the flavor of the gravy and beef.

“So rich and delicious; the meat is very tender,” Kelly said. “I just love it all.”

With the seasonal menu, Kelly’s pro tip is following Beckett’s Table on Facebook to stay up to date with their ever-evolving dishes.
