On this episode of “Check, Please! Arizona,” the possibilities are endless at these one-of-a-kind Arizona restaurants.

First up is guest Stacia Ortega with Joe’s Diner. Joe Seriale, owner of Joe’s Diner, said they are known for their pancakes, biscuits and nine kinds of homemade jam. They serve their made fresh and daily pancakes and biscuits to thousands of guests each year. You can’t leave without trying what Seriale calls the best cup of coffee anyone has ever had.

Next, guest Brett Gitskin picked Rusconi’s American Kitchen for their unique dishes and delicious cocktails. Michael Rusconi, the chef proprietor, said their large variety of dishes are cooked over a wood-fired grill, and they use pecan wood for its great flavor and versatility. He said guests can find a fine dining, contemporary American experience that has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

To finish it off, Steve Semken chose Cocina Chiwas, which offers one-of-a-kind Mexican cuisine. Started by he and his wife, Armando Hernandez said they wanted Cocina Chiwas to combine recipes they enjoyed from their upbringing in Chihuahua, Mexico, with what they have learned and loved from Arizona cuisine. Hernandez said their goal is to show guests the different regionalities throughout their frequently changing menu.
