Leap into the Loop Camp inspires young minds

Dec 31, 2024 • Lisa Ann Sepulveda, Assistant Director for Education and Community Impact, joined the Leap into the Loop camp in collaboration with the Boys and Girls Club of Guadalupe, where young participants explored the world of computational thinking through hands-on activities. From crafting bracelets and necklaces to learning about patterns, sequencing and algorithms, the camp sparked creativity and curiosity in every child.

Family Math in Phoenix

Jan 4, 2025 • Families gathered at Arizona PBS for a Family Math workshop, an interactive event designed to support early math learning for children ages 2 to 5. Parents, educators and caregivers explored bilingual resources in English and Spanish, gaining practical tools to make math a fun and natural part of everyday life. The event highlighted the importance of foundational math skills in setting the stage for lifelong learning.

Family Math in Yuma

Jan 9, 2025 • Our Family Math workshop in Yuma was a resounding success! Families enjoyed a dynamic bilingual workshop series that celebrated the idea that math is everywhere. The event brought together children and caregivers to explore fun, everyday ways to build early math skills in both English and Spanish, creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment for all.

Yuma County caregivers learn about nurturing and responsive relationships

Jan 18, 2025 • Led by Yanira Martinez, Program Manager, a series of sessions in Yuma County taught caregivers about the Pyramid Model, a way of supporting the social-emotional competence of infants and young children. Attendees learned about the Pyramid Model, how to develop nurturing and responsive relationships, how to create supportive environments, how to teach social-emotional skills and ways to address challenging behavior.

Arizona PBS Digital Video Contest

Feb 17, 2025 • The Arizona PBS Digital Video Contest sponsored by Delta Dental of Arizona celebrates creativity and learning by inviting young children to share educational videos on fun and meaningful topics. The theme this year was how students take care of wild animal’s teeth! Winners, like Mason, were featured on Arizona PBS platforms, showcasing their storytelling and media skills in a big way.

Read On Literacy Fair

Feb 22, 2025 • Rhonda Etsitty, Regional Coordinator, joined students and families at Killip School in Flagstaff for the Flagstaff Read On Literacy Fair. The event celebrated the joy of reading and promoted literacy development through engaging activities, bringing the community together to support young readers.
