New book on Debra Milke, woman whose conviction of murdering her own child was overturned

More from this show

Right before Christmas in 1989, Debra Milke’s four-year-old son Christopher was taken to go see Santa Claus at the mall. Instead of going to the mall, he was taken to the desert where he was shot to death. Two men remain on death row in his murder. Milke herself was convicted as being the mastermind behind the shooting, but her conviction was overturned after 22 years. On Arizona Horizon, author Jana Bommersbach will tell us about her new book on Milke’s life titled “A Stolen Life: The Debra Milke Story.” Bommersbach will discuss her book at Changing Hands Bookstore Phoenix at 300 West Camelback on Tuesday, May 21 at 7pm.
