David Axelrod on the political landscape heading into the presidential election

Former Senior Advisor to President Obama and current CNN Senior Political Commentator David Axelrod sat down with Arizona Horizon and discussed the current political landscape.

During a time of national and global conflict, Axelrod believes it is up to the American people to decide how America and democracy move forward. 

Axelrod said he believes society has shifted to a social media society thriving on online anger and conspiracy theories. He also said it is important to become more aware of what is happening so that we can move away from this kind of society. 

Axelrod published his book “Believer: My Forty Years in Politics” in 2015. The book goes into detail about his time in politics but also his faith that democracy can change. 

He believes the November presidential election will likely be between Trump and Biden; however, it is up to the American people to decide the outcome.
