Opening statements given for Trump trial

Opening statements were given April 23, 2024, for the beginning of former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial.
Trump is facing 34 felony charges related to falsifying business records and paying off individuals to prevent damaging stories from coming to light that may have interfered with his election in 2016.
