DOJ releases final report on Trump election interference case
Jan. 14
The Department of Justice’s election interference report against Donald Trump, released early Tuesday, said the evidence against the president-elect would have led to his conviction at trial.
Former special counsel Jack Smith’s final report laid out the case. Smith added that Trump’s return to the White House made it impossible to move forward as Justice Department policy prohibits prosecuting a sitting president. The 137-page report detailed prosecutors’ evidence of Trump’s efforts to influence the election and propagate election claims he knew were false.
Roy Herrera, Founding Partner at Herrera Arellano LLP, joined “Arizona Horizon” to break down the details of the report.
