Rep. Yassamin Ansari demands for impeachment of DHS secretary

In recent headlines, Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari has spoken out against for-profit immigration detention centers and ending them altogether. The Arizona democratic congressional representative of District 3 has also demanded for the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Kristin Noem.
Rep. Ansari points to growing fear and uncertainty about Border Patrol spreading nationwide and says communities feel “terrorized”.
Since July 2025, Ansari was announced as the Chairwoman of the Congressional Progressive Caucus Lowering Costs Taskforce. She hosted the Taskforce’s first shadow hearing to address lowering housing costs.
